Information regarding re-opening church

First published on: 20/07/2020 20th July 2020

We are re-opening chuch for Public Worship!

The PCC have made a Risk Assessment of re-opening, in line with the guidelines set out by the Church of England and have prepared the church building for re-opening and put into place some of the things identified in it.

That's only part of the story, though. Everybody has a part to play in making sure that we are safe, when we do get back in the church building.

I am linking three documents, giving details of what has been put in place, what to do and expect, when you come to church and a consent form for use with the NHS Test and Trace system. Please read the documents and if required, print them out.

  1. It may not be of interest to everyone, but the first document is the completed Risk Assessment.
  2. The second document is Returning to Church Safely. Please do have a read of this. It's all about the practicalities of coming to a service at church, including a plan of the church, with seat numbers and the one-way-system. As we have limited numbers who will be able to attend, it is important to book a placeIf at all possible, please book in by email, as this will help prevent double-booking.
  3. Finally, in order to comply with GDPR, we do need your consent to maintain a temporary database of people who have been at a church service for Test & Trace purposes.
